First to Fight, an amateur
boxing tournament featuring
Marines vs. St. Louis Police
Officers and Firefighters comes
to Scottrade Center June 20!
Beginning
the week of June 19th hundreds
of Marines will be reaching out
to St. Louisans through
volunteer service projects,
blood drives, and park
rebuilding projects. Marine
sentries will be posted at
Soldier’s Memorial twenty-four
hours a day to show St. Louis
that we are always on duty and
always on guard to protect their
freedom. There will be daily
parades through the streets of
downtown and equipment displays
at the Arch, War Memorial, and
Ball Park Village open for
public viewing. This event will
also allow a chance for St.
Louisans to meet their Marines
face-to-face.
The week’s
first event on Monday
June 20th will be an
amateur charity boxing event
held at Scottrade Center. The
First To Fight
charity boxing event will
feature Marines competing
against St. Louis area first
responders.
All proceeds will go to
Backstoppers and the
Semper Fi Society,
which aids injured Marines and
their families.
